Key to our mission is expanding K–12 access to the creative arts through Gentlehands Academy, launching this Fall. We believe every child should experience creativity, regardless of family income, which is why we accept North Carolina childcare subsidies and voucher programs so cost is never a barrier.

Our afterschool programs bring professional art educators directly into schools and community spaces. Gentlehands provides the supplies, curriculum, and coordination - families and schools gain a trusted, joyful program where kids create and connect.

Tracks are designed for each stage of growth: Sprout (4–6), Spark (7–11), Explore (12–15), and Emerge (16–18). Each blends hands-on projects with social and emotional development, building resilience, confidence, and self-expression.

Art is just the start. Beginning in 2026, new tracks in dance, music, and theatre will give students even more ways to explore their creativity.

At the end of each cycle, families are invited to celebrate student work through showcases and exhibitions - creating spaces of pride and connection. Parents see their children’s joy and growth, while schools benefit from a program that is consistent, safe, and easy to host.
